Awesome! Proper band!
So cool! Love the video!
The vocals came in so quick and caught me out, after the “long intro” share !
Like the period b&w video, tasteful. Reckon $26 would get you a pretty good hit back then, just saying !!
Fuzz was well worth breaking out if it lead to this cover. Covered it well in all departments. A cracking multi for sure.
Such a cool performance!
I really enjoyed it - Thank you, Paul!
Thanks Molly!
Cheers Toby, yeah, the fuzz pedal is fun. Inspiring a few more ideas now
Thanks Dominique, glad you liked it!
That was brilliant! SBJ was cool too! Massive VU fan and Lou Reed/Bowie.
You captured the scene so well and nailed it.
Very cool…
Thanks Tim! Appreciate the kind words - The bare bones of the song are pretty straightforward, and it’s fun to play
Cheers Charmian - looks like you’re new here so welcome! Why not head over the the ‘Introduce youself’ section and say hi
I need a bass guitar, maybe one of those Bass VI’s would be sweet.
Hi Paul That looks like fun. Sounds Great. Velvet underground were I think as influential as the Beatles.
Everyone needs a bass … so much fun!
Cheers Will. I have to agree, so many other artists I admire cite the VU as a major influence.
Superb all-round production, Paul.
You ticked all the boxes on this one, incl. the visuals
Bravo!
Cheers Brian - you’re too kind!
That was cool Paul. You’ve got the Lou Reed vocal style down pat. Cool video too.
I listened to a bit of Velvet Underground in my teens. I found them by following the influences of bands I found in their CD liner notes and buying those albums. I can’t remember exactly how I found them, but it was probably Nirvana → Pixies → Velvet Underground.
When I started playing their songs my mum was surprised - she used to listen to them!
A bit late to the party here, but better late than never, right?
That was super cool Paul! You’re a one man band! I loved the visuals too. Simple but effective. Well done!
Thanks JK that makes me feel old, listening to them in my yoof !
Old rock never dies, like fine wine it ages with time !
Thanks JK! Yeah, just so influential - although I’m too young to have been properly into them in their heyday.
Of course Thanks for the listen/watch & kind words, was lots of fun to put together.
Well that’s certainly true!
Enjoyed this, great Lou Reed vibe!
Richard
Thanks Richard - I appreciate the listen and the kind words!
