Still digging up the oldies Clint ?
Philās not that old ![]()
Talking of oldies, here some older Steve Gaines from 75 and pre LS. Sadly missed (and Cassie). RIP
Aye laddie heās a few years younger than me and the BBP know where the shovel is when a resurrection is needed ![]()
We all know you sold your soul to the devil a long time ago, so no need for a shovel. Long live the blues.
The first video in this thread was from nine years ago, so not that old I suppose. ![]()
Iām listening to this tasty original offering from @BenHorrocks:
While doing my guitar time today (playing along to YouTube videos) I stumbled on this fascinating video. Those of us old enough to remember suffering through the weekly Lawrence Welk Show will find it amusing because itās so out of character for the show. I loved the cut to Lawrence āgetting downā with it.
Also, the young guitarist was clearly heavily influenced by Les Paul. And itās interesting that he gets the Les Paul tone from a Strat.
Larkin Poeās take on Wish You Were Here. I think Mr Gilmore would approve⦠and maybe be a bit jealous too
That slide guitar is so tasteful
I was just about to post this!

Heās 74.
Age, it aināt nothinā but a number. . .
I love a good Floyd cover!
Haha, I like Jesse.
If we are doing Floyd covers today I have to post these:
Iām listening to a fellow tele player from a guitar related website down the way:
I hate that phrase. Iām 76. Iām almost deaf in one ear, Iāve got cataracts, my knees are absolutely shot. Iāve got hair sprouting where I donāt want it (like ears and nose) and the hair that I do want is saying sayonara. Injuries that I got in my youth and I thought had healed now come back in the form of stabs of pain to remind me. I wonāt even go into some of the other stuff that no longer works.
Age is a real thing, and a lot of it aināt fun.
