What’s the best way to document what I learn in guitar lessons?

I seem to recall reading somewhere that the Windows version was a time-limited trial. It shows a nag screen now, and it didn’t always show that. I see now that the Windows tablet version should work on my computer, too. Unfortunately, I also noticed that it does cloud sync only to services I don’t use. If it’s not one thing it’s another.

I’ve mostly worked around the shortcomings of the app I use. Would be annoying to have to find workarounds to a different set of shortcomings on another app. I’ll be honest, I think Songbook Pro has a nicer appearance, too.

There’s a misconception here that to write stuff down that it can’t be digital. I have stylus-type objects for both my iPad and my Kindle Scribe - it’s the exact same act as writing on paper - except of course there’s no messy scribbles on my digital writing

What did you use to make those worksheets?

@Boyter That is just Microsoft Excel and messing with merged cells, screenshots and formating.

I am old-fashioned, I view what I want to learn on the site, if I need to, I write it on paper, then very often rub it out and start something else, I know it’s rough, but it works for me, cheers HEC

I ended up copying @Carreta 's style in Pages on my Mac. I decided to go this way, as it allows me to easily grab things from online and eventually print them off to scribble on when needed.

I use the Pages word processing app on my iPad… but only to create text-only chord and lyric sheets.

Any tips on your more elaborate approach? Did you create a template? Or are you just copying and pasting text and images into the document?

I’m not a Pages expert or anything, but I use the Layout mode and took screenshots of the tab and just added text boxes in between them.

@Boyter I am glad I inspired you. For me it worked in some stage of my journey and I am pretty sure it will help you too. Good luck.
Sooner or later you will put them into drawer, because you will take them as easy part… but also after some period you will find them and you will know how much you moved.
