What software do you use for transcription?

youtube-dl is ace. Just tried it out to grab a backing track.

Not so user friendly but that’s just fine with me. One command to download and convert to mp3 without someone else’s servers in the mix is great.

Curious - what do you use for transcribing?

I start off with the universally ridiculed UG

If I’m unhappy with something, I reboot using @stitch, @TheMadman_tobyjenner or if I want an in-depth analysis that I only partially understand, I might run it through @Richard_close2u

The crowdsourcing approach to transcription . I’ve heard there’s good videos on Youtube too, check out this guy called Justin…

On a more serious note, I find Ultimate Guitar pretty useful as well.

Onsong. It can import ultimate guitar chords/lyrics directly. Scrolling based on time, chord diagrams etc. Too many other great features to list.
