Wings of Pegasus exposes a miming Taylor Swift

So lots of clicks for outing TS as a mimer and more clicks for saying sheā€™s not ? Guess the world revolves around getting clicks, right or wrong true or false, just hit the like button and subscribe. More Coke, More Snickers, More Clicks. Clicks is $$$, $$$ is clicks.

Not a Swiftie (hell quelle surprise peeps) but these YT anglers ?? Do the math.

Again, not quite the whole picture is it?

Fil did not previously imply any whole concert or tour was lip-synched. What he did say in this video - analysing 1 hr 10min of two concerts - was the data showed that some of her live vocal came through over the backing track on some songs, for whatever logistical reason, while in other sections, the prerecorded vocal track was more pronounced, or exclusive.
This of course, would all have to be pre-planned, on a song by song basis.

It also showed, at least over the 2 data sets analysed, that backing tracks were used on all songs, with pretty much all of them sounding prominent enough that they simply replaced the band completely, and replaced the lead vocal at various stages, and to varying degrees.

Man, I just canā€™t care that much about this stuff. I wonā€™t go to large concerts anymore anyway. Just take a moment and listen to a lousy recording of someone singing live in the 60s and 70s. Pure song, no auto-tune, no recorded backup tracks. Never perfect, yet perfect just the same.

I will see someone play live in a small venue with just them and a microphone. Going to see Taylor Swift or any other large production these days isnā€™t about the sound of the music, it is a show. If that is what you want, and they can be good shows, go for it. But why complain that the music isnā€™t authentically live? It is just one part of the show.

But the maths doesnt actually work; not for 99% anyway.

If oneā€™s goal were simply dollars, then making YT videos would be way, way down the list.
Itā€™s generally a long term, committed effort to even become monetised on Youtube. And even after that, raking in huge sums of money, or even sustainable amounts, is statistically very unlikely for most.

Certainly, there are many who try; they may use all sorts of ā€˜tricksā€™ and scams and shortcuts they can find; and there certainly is a lot of garbage on Youtube to reflect this; as there is on many social platforms.
But there is also very much the flipside. There are many quality channels that are invested in what they do, for the love of it. In my view, Wings of Pegasus is one such channel. Justin Guitar is another.
I believe, in the end, the onus is in the discernment of the viewer.

And he also, in his latest entry, emphasized how extensively live vocal tuning is used throughout the show. I like that better than the whole thing mimed.

Hello Rick,

I was going to leave this comment I just spotted, given Iā€™m well aware of your propensity to fire off without a filter. However, this disrepectful drivel warrants a response.

Although not bothered at all by your disagreement, your advice on practicing guitar more and watching videos less is simply poor form Rick. You know nothing about me mate, nor do I need any advice about how to pursue whatever I wish; and while Iā€™ve always appreciated your helpful and candid responses to my post, I wont cop this rubbish.

Different chuckle brothers, but I still feel the same
I canā€™t see this going anywhere. Everyone seems to agree-
She uses some prerecorded vocals/music some of the time.
Some people care.
Some donā€™t.
