Hello! I’m a 44-year-old (low)intermediate guitar player from Southern Brazil. Always loved and wanted to play the guitar. Had a go about 20 years ago or so and gave it up for many reasons, including the thought that it was too hard. I decided to start againd during the pandemic and have been playing again for over a year, in which I’ve made considerable progress, to a great extent owing to Justin’s lessons.
I’ve always liked punk rock and rock’n’roll in its purest form, but folk music (Neil Young, Crosby, Stills, Nash, Simon & Garfunkel and others) got hold of me.
I’ve got a classical, an acoustic guitar and an electric guitar, all very simple but good enough to let me do my learning and practice. I play the acoustic one the most.
With a job, small kid, wife and things to do around the house it’s been hard to find time to practice, but I’m trying to take my time… learning a new song here, a new technique there and so on…
Right now I’m focused on folk fingerstyle. Besides sounding great, I believe it’ll give me the kind of ability I need to play many other styles and learn a little bit about the fretboard too…
I guess that’s it!
Hope everyone is enjoying their lessons and making progress!
