Started guitar at age ten, stopped after three months. Re-started at 30 and tried to teach myself by playing 15 minutes a week at best. Re-re-started a year ago at 57 with Justin. Many plateaus, a few breakthroughs and consistent practice. A year later I realize I am not gifted but at least I can now play real songs with varied strumming, picking and finger-picking styles!
