I built a guitar from Practical Electronics magazine in 1976 - wood from an old piano, I did not do the fretboard very well, did not play much.
Then my father and I a couple of years later fixed up a broken Les Paul where head broken from neck and rest had been “punked up”.
Head reattached to neck with a metal plate and fibreglass. Bridge and pickups replaced with standard ones.
I played this for about a year till College work and other things got in the way, I got to barre chords.
Started again after going to a few live music events and digging this out from under the bed where it spent about 20 years, after years stored elsewhere.
Looking at online lessons and loving this, I made mistake of asking for a free guide from GuitarZoom and they are non-stop spamming me.
So another 60 plus beginner.
