Hi I am Tjeerd,
a Dutchman living in Germany. Born in the fifties, much exposed to Beatles and Stones in school, growing up in Belgium. Borrowed the cheap Spanish guitar belonging to my sister when I was 17, then bought my first guitar chords song book (Beatles Revolver). Bought my own guitar (A Fender Acoustic) when I had enough money from my summer job during my university days. Meanwhile developed a taste for folk music. I lived in Africa and Asia for a spell, then again in the Netherlands only to land in Germany around 20 years ago. Since then picking up guitar playing a bit more, en in the last seven years actively pursuing playing solo fingerstyle and rhythm for bluesharmonicaplayers.
Also I have been taking singing lessons and have joined a choir. Nowadays I Jam regularly in a bluesharmonica club, and we have started a three/four person ensemble exploring country blues and other Americana. 2 singers, one ukelele, one guitar and two bluesharmonicaplayers.
