Lifelong music lover, recent musician. I started playing a little over three years ago, beginning with an electric my son had laying around, but quickly switching to steel-string acoustic. I immediately gravitated toward finger-picking, and learned a number of pop/rock songs. But then I started hearing some classical guitar, and that is my current focus. I figure if I can make a classical guitar sound good, I can transition back to my steel-string. Took a year’s worth of lessons using Aaron Shearer’s wonderful book, but then got laid off so the lessons had to stop. Still working at it every day, though, and loving every minute of it!
