10 Guitarists solo over the same track

From the great Paul Davids channel.

10 great guitarists, including some big hitters that many here will know, accept Paul’s invitation to solo over a short backing track he composed.

For those getting into, or on the lead guitar path, or simply anyone who’s looking for some epic playing, you’re in for a real treat here.

Cheers, Shane.

Long video, but not the tiniest bit boring. Most fascinating :grinning: I had taken a second cup of coffee but got so absorbed listening to the different flavours of the solos that I forgot drinking it. That’s some real guitar magic :slightly_smiling_face:

Never heard of Julia Lange before this video. She’s an incredible player. I’ve been a fan of Mateus Asato for a while now. His chord-melody covers are so good.

All are very good solos but Martin Miller’s is mind-blowing to me.

The other is Jens Larsen. How on earth he chooses so beautiful notes consistently? Of course he worked it out in advance but still.

Paul Davids does interesting videos. Have you seen the one he did with Justin doing the metal challenge?

That was spectacular, watched it through twice it was so good. Apart from the playing there is some great input for learning how to solo. This is one of the best videos I’ve seen in awhile.

Oh and they were all amazing, but for me Ross Campbell was the standout of the standouts.

Me too Mari. A very gifted young man with some great ideas. A great teacher too. I just bought his book- Beyond Pentatonic Blues Guitar. Terrific study.

Cheers, Shane.

That is very tempting, another great guitar book to buy and think about dusting off every so often while I don’t use it and keep meandering on … :slightly_smiling_face:
