Facebook just brought up a memory…
This was at the Rose Cafe in Clive New Zealand. I was 2nd on the board, thankfully the audience was kind and I learned heaps. I’ve now done a total of 84 open mics and another hopefully this Thursday.

Woohoo! Go Tony! 10 years and 84 OM’s! That’s awesome mate!
Thanks! I was trying to do 100 in 10 years, but covid hit and there weren’t any for ages.
Performing at a real life OM would be next level. Do you have any video?
Nothing very recent. I like to joke that I’ve got a face for radio!
Well done Tony. A terrific achievement!
Happy OM anni Tony.
I bet that 10 years has flown by hasn’t it? 84 OM’s, impressive. Can you remember which one was you best/most enjoyable?
Happy Anniversary Tony a true inspiration for those aspiring live performers!
Hi Tony,…
Time flies,…I heard someone say,…
Was it the clockmaker’s wife who threw the alarm clock at her husband’s head?
Enjoy the ride to the max
Greetings,…
Hi Tony, that’s kind of an impressing number, 84 OM! Wish you a lot more in the future, some of them maybe here, keep on playing and have fun!
Wow that’s a big accomplishment! Bring your phone with you to record the next one!!
Well done Tony! I hope you hit 100 and well beyond !
Thanks Stefan. Yep, 12-July-2019 at the Tintenbar Upfront aka “15 minutes of fame”. I’d struggled with performance anxiety big time and had worked on it for a long time and this performance just came together very well with no nerves and a wonderful audience. Walked off the stage like I was on a carpet of air, best feeling imaginable, made all the anxiousness and struggle so very worth it.
Thanks. I do plan to get back into the Justin Guitar open mics, we are still traveling in our RV / caravan and as such the broadband is not reliable, we’ll be back in our house later this year and will get involved again then.
Fantastic achievement Tony! 84 and counting. Inspirational!
