Congrats on a successful gig, Ron. I can’t say I am surprised that they want you back. I’d certainly come back to hear you some more, even if you choose to play Hey Jude
BTW, I’ve moved the post into the Playing Live Sub-category.
As I’ve said before, I love this song and your rendition of it is fantastic! Doubly so since your post reads “Father and Sin” - I was listening for the altered lyrics.
Marvelous stuff Ron! Absolutely fantastic, you looked so composed and comfortable up there! You are a natural performer and I am sure they definitely want you back. Take a massive bow !!!
Huge congrats Ron. The quality sounded as good as you “studio” recordings and you certainly gave Hey Jude some wellie. Not surprised you’ve been invited back. Top stuff.
Thanks Tony. I think if my capo is on the third fret and I am playing in G it would be A#/Bb. Weird key I know but it is where I need to be for my voice.
Start again. That was for Father and Son sorry…Hey Jude was in D.
Thanks. I’d be interested in the chords / shapes you use if you are willing to share. I’ve spent some time on hey jude in the past only to find it didn’t suit my voice and it wasn’t able to be fixed with a capo.
you are welcome to work on that, Ron. There are many Beatles songs I enjoy, but suspect the ship has long sailed on Hey Jude (and many of their classics from the later years)
