Hi, the app has a different D6… which is confusing.

And a different strum pattern… which is very confusing.

Still got the wrong fingerings for D6 on this app song!

I have just started with the App and noticed that the D6/9 chord is different.
Do I read it wrongly, is it an alternative way or possibly an error? Sorry for the possibly dumb question, I
have started only recently to play guitar at the young age of 74, so be patient

Oops!
Just noticed that a specific topic already exhists on the subject. My apologies

Hi Alberto @AlbertoB
Welcome here you young one :sunglasses: It’s good that you found it yourself, we are very patient here and you are certainly not the only young elderly person here…
Feel free to ask questions and don’t feel held back/stupid about it…not asking random questions in lesson-specific topics with chitchat, we have other threads for that, and feel free to take a look here Old Dog Topic

Have fun is what is all about here :sunglasses: …O and learning songs of course

Greetings,Rogier

They are all versions of a D type of chord that fits the bill so use whichever one you feel good with.
Check the similarities of the chord grips and notes in these diagrams.

In the lesson, Justin teaches four options for strumming, from basic to that used on the recording.
You are right.
He does not teach the one shown in the App itself.
The one in the App is Old Faithful and that makes a fifth option.
you can use it or one of the others - or make up your own if tthat works too.

Thanks for the clarifications. This makes sense for a rank nube.

A clarification on the clarification though?

The letters at the far left are sometimes the open string, not the fretted note. That fretted note is indeed F#, or Gb, however you need to look at it.

I think something got mixed up in that graphic. It looks like the letters on the far left are meant to be the fretted note and I’d assume the change was forgotten. Notice that string 6 is F# and string 3 is A, so it stands that string 1 should be F#.

You are correct - thank you for spotting my error @mundeli … I have corrected it now.

Yes - my clarity of thought and ability to proof-read my own work!
Fixed now.
