Yes, it’s sad and it reflects my mood today, as it was recorded just a few hours ago. I played my new Gibson LP Studio through a Hotone Ampero Mini as the amp/cab modeller. There are just two tracks mixed: a simple BT and the solo. The song is in the key of Bm, and I played mostly the notes from the B natural minor scale.
Wow Tomasz, well played and not too sad, love it mate, cheers HEC
Beautiful song–so well played. Thanks for sharing it.
Tomasz
Very atmospheric composition which could be the sound track for an art-house movie. Loved it!
Brian
I like the key of Bm. Great job with the recording too.
@DeltaTyne Thanks so much, friend! I’m happy I managed to record something in spite of feeling not too well, to say the least.
@beejay56 @Ontime : Thank you for listening and commenting.

Beautifully done Tomasz.
To me, it’s not solely sad.
And I am always glad to listen to your recordings - thank yo for this one! ![]()
Thinking of you, Tomasz!
Wow Tomasz!
Another gem!!! This song invokes a quiet, calm & cloud covered rainy October afternoon. A person, possibly a very old woman relaxing with a steaming mug of tea… all in monochromatic black and white… very shadowy. The old woman holding the mug is very harsh in profile & appears to be thinking or reminiscing some sorrowful event in her life… very sad images to me but a lovely & well played tribute to her mood.
Well done my friend!
I am hoping that your treatment hasn’t been treating you too harshly. Thinking of you & wishing you well!
Tod
Hi there!
Sad was not what first came to my mind, but melancholy… but who am I to make that kind of statement when English is not even my first langage ?![]()
So…
Woa ! First of all, thumbs up for being able to create in such a mindset, and another one for “playing” so nicely.
… Then I listened to it a 2nd and 3rd time and…
I really enjoyed the back track. This one sounds sad, and it seems the solo is fighting to go over (not sure of the right word here) the sadness of the back track.
Thanks for sharing
@domi7 @CATMAN62 @TDS17 @TheCluelessLuthier Thanks a lot, guys, I’m glad you liked it. It’s my first recording that seemed to me fit for publication after quite a long break when I would just noodle or improvise over a simple chord progression, so your appreciation is enormously valuable and encouraging.
I’m with Thierry @TDS17 for me also the feeling of melancholy dominates in your song.
For some reason, I associate Fado and saudade.
Thinking of you and would send strength if I could.
A lot to like here. Nice tone, chill atmosphere and not a note out of place. I can’t call it sad as much as mood setting because it lacks certain elements that make for a sad song. It would need to tell a story with some melody lines, repeating lines and conversational breaths and pauses, highs and lows. Definitely illustrates your scale knowledge and mastery of the fretboard. Well done!
@JokuMuu @CT Thanks so much for listening and comments ![]()
Clint: I’m truly grateful for presenting your honest opinion on my song, even if there’s some criticism in it. Any unbiased point of view is really valuable as it points out the things the author may have missed in his/her concept of the composition. Much appreciated!
Again, you showed mastery of the fretboard and your tone was really good. That puts you ahead of the class and is a lot to build on. I think I applied a necessary hug-slap-hug approach that helped me early on in my journey and may be helpful to you as well. Really good lead guitar playing is akin to a sax player or a vocalist --as both have to say something and both have to breathe. Justin has a number of videos on phrasing, with things like call and response and repeating line concepts.
Lovely smooth laid back jazzy piece, Tomasz. Great tone and feel. Can imagine that in a movie soundtrack.
Thank you for the kind words, David, I’m glad you liked it ![]()
Nice! It’s really mystical not sad.
Hehe… you’re not the first one to see it that way which means I’m no good at inventing titles to my songs
Perhaps it was just a momentary impulse on my side…
Oh, and thanks so much for listening, Jeff ![]()
