Looking at this as we are doing it at the guitar club this coming week. Thought Justin was a bit disparaging about it but nevertheless got some useful tips.
Eek not my java Michael but I have always said its not the song its the techniques or chords you are learning when playing it. At least that was what I said back in the day learning Ms Spear and hit something now and again or what ever it was called. As I’ve said many times you play these mediocre pop songs and then find the chord progression popping up in something that really floats your boat. And discover it ain’t such an big world after all.

At the guitar club over the next few months I think we are going to be concentrating on country songs (and fingerpicking). So with people of varying ability it makes sense to start with a simple two chord song so you can work on the techniques and not to worry about difficult chords and/or frequent changes.
