Hi, there, Adriaan here from Cape Town, South Africa. I have been playing guitar on and off since I was a teenager and am 53 now. I played in two different church bands. But, moved city and did not join another church. Kept dabbling on and off. I enjoy improvisation, some folk songs and blues etc. I travelled in 2024 ‘Eat pray love year’ sold most of my stuff, kept one guitar which ended up with my kids in New Zealand not with me. Last week I decided I want to get back into it, bought an acoustic and now trying to activate those memories and muscles to get going again. Maybe it would be great to join a band in Cape Town at some point.

Hi Adriaan, welcome to the community forum. You will find grade 1 good for getting your fingers back into shape and refreshing the fundamentals. Then you can follow some of your interests in grades 2 and 3. Have fun getting back into guitar.
