it certainly has been a while!
Unfortunately, there’s not much to update on the guitar front. Last year I took a break in prep for a bunch of things happening in my life (I had eye surgery, and more importantly my youngest son was born in October).
Originally my thought was to start back up in January, but I underestimated the amount of time I would have to play guitar with 2 young children (newborn as well as my 4-year-old). I’ve tried numerous times to get back on the horse, but just haven’t been able to calibrate my schedule like before 
.
I still play from time to time, but nothing like the structure I had before when I was playing at least 1 hour every single day. I still have hobbies, but they are more adjacent to my career, like Game Programming (I’m in IT so I can do some code at work sometimes), but I haven’t been able to pick up the guitar in a consistent enough manner to make progress. That’s why I haven’t really posted since then.
I don’t think this is the end for me with the guitar though. I still love it, and still get that feeling when I pick up any of my guitars and play. I’m just in a phase in my life where time is precious, so I haven’t been able to play.

I can totally imagine than having a young family makes finding time for guitar playing harder. So, have fun with your family and see you soon when they get older
