This is my version of Andante in C by Fernando Sor as taught by Jerry’s Guitar Bar. It took some time to play it slow enough as intended, something I have to work on consistently, but this is pretty close. I am working on beginner classical guitar right now because I have gotten frustrated with harder popular songs lately that are pushing me, so I’m recording songs like this to get some of my guitar playing out there. Hope you enjoy it! Hopeully I can get some rock or folk songs wrapped up soon, getting closer.
That was nice. Good finger work for sure.
Nice one Benji!!!
Good job staying in time & articulating the notes! ![]()
I find it difficult to avoid speeding up a slower piece… you seem to have avoided that problem & turned in a calming, relaxing AVOYP!!!
Thanks for sharing!!!

I really enjoyed that. Thanks for posting.
Sounded great! Clean notes and fully in time!! Enjoyed this, thanks for sharing!!

That was very nice Benji.
Very nice indeed. Thank you!!
Thanks for the listen Ontime!
Thanks Tod! I find since it’s strictly a fingerpicking song it’s not so hard. I’m working on Norwegian Wood right now, and that song goes from flatpicking individual notes to strumming- throwing my time way off! I find playing along with the recording is helpful, and easier than using a metronome. Hopefully I’ll be able to record it soon… ![]()
Thanks for the listen Prof_Thunder!
Glad to know, thanks abhiralla!

Thanks for giving a listen Vualk!
This is my cover of Morning, by Edvard Grieg as taught by Jerry’s Guitar Bar. I’m still working on some more challenging songs to sing along to, but until one is ready to go, I’ll keep posting these little dities.
Hi Benjii, I moved here your recent post as we have the rule of 1 Topic per month in the AVOYP section. You can edit the title and add the second song and add the link to the video in the first post if you wish.
Hi Benjii, I much enjoyed listening to your recordings, they’re both very well played. I love classical guitar pieces and was very happy when I read the titles…I was waiting for taking a break to listen properly!
