Angel From Montgomery Collaboration

I used a compressor and a limitor…
I can barely hear the bass on my end.
Guess it just depends on what you listen through?
But thanks for the feedback!

Another thing im starting to wonder about. Could i have lost the ability to hear low pitched sounds? Im half deaf from various reasons.

Hi Allison, I was listening through a Bose device. Not their absolute best but pretty good and definitely not favoring any base so hopefully that helps…

Love your take on this classic song, Aly!
You & Tim did a very good job of putting together an excellent version that’s tasteful & entertaining! I can’t find anything to critique here… BTW, the mix sounds fine to my ears!
Keep ‘em coming & thanks for sharing!!!

Tod

Thanks Catman ! I appreciate the compliments

Well played and sang by the two of you. As for the mix, it sounded fine to my ears; listened to from an iPad and AirPods. Nice song choice.

Thank you, Pam !
I am going to stop driving myself insane over the mixing
Thank you for listening!

Always my pleasure, Allison.

I also find vocal levels can be tricky due to varying. Once you have the latest version of your DAW installed, you’ll probably find you have the ability to hand-level ie raise or lower certain sections. Not so much as to ruin dynamics but enough to achieve good balance of all the instruments and the vocals.

@DavidP
The latest version? she says in her most “play dumb” tone…
Still haven’t upgraded, lol, Im hopeless!

 life keeps us busy, Allison, and is perhaps a little daunting. But sure it will be worthwhile when you can make the time and energy to do it.
