Another Aussie Classic at a recent gig

Hi fellow Justineer’s
Well I just got another 2.5 hour gig under my belt.
I did a sing-a-long event at an over 50’s Lifestyle Community.
They were really noisy as you will hear in the video but they did get into the singing.
So in continuing my recent theme of Aussie classic songs here is my cover from the gig of Russell Morris On The Wings Of An Eagle. You may not have heard it before but it was a major hit for him in 1972.
Audio is very average as it was recorded on my iPhone mic. Unfortunately it picked up a lot of the background noise, however, it will give you an idea of how my gig went.
Cheers
Ron

Hi Ron, I guess your gig has been great fun! It sounded just great, despite the background noises…that is how an acoustic guitar is supposed to sound! :star_struck::star_struck::star_struck:

Great for you to have another gig done. 2.5 hours is a bit of a marathon! As sairfingers said that must have been an extensive set list. I see you are plugged in, turn the amp up!

Thank you Ruaridh,
They were a great crowd. I did have some complaints but most very good feedback.

Nice one Ron. 2.5 hours, wow, how were the finger tips after that?

It was nice to hear some of the noisy crowd singing along in the chorus’s and I guess that the round of applause makes up for them being so noisy.

Thank you Stefan,
Yes the applause is always morale booster .
My fingers were great as my callouses are well formed :joy:.

What a great set list Ron. Only 2 or 3 that I’m not familiar with. I must be in your target audience.

Hi Ron, oh wow, 2,5 hours of entertaining a lively crowd sounds challenging :astonished:.
Congratulations on mastering it so well :+1:.

Reading your setlist, I realized that there were only two songs, I’m able to play as well. It gave my some nice song ideas to work on .

And I’m really glad, you played your own song as well. It’s so beautiful :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:.
