I thought I would see if anyone on here lives near Seaton, East Devon and would be interested in getting together for a Jam? In my experience playing with others is one of the best ways to gain experience and progress.
I picked up guitar again 3 months ago after an 18 year break due to an injury, all OK now. Previously in 2001-2002 I got to an intermediate level studying on a BTEC music course. We played a mix of rock/pop, blues, and jazz and had to learn to improvise using various scale over songs. With such a long break my guitar skills and knowledge became poor, so I have gone back to basics with JustinGuitar courses and a couple of others, and I am enjoying playing again very much.
I am 66 and retired so plenty of free time to practice and get together. Would be great to meet up with some fellow guitarists. Ultimately if I get good enough I would like to play in a small Blues/Jazz band at small venues for a bit of fun.
