I almost agree with this.
actualy, songs dont even need to rhyme, there are heaps of famous songs (at least, in my playlists) that have little or no rhyming. I only realised that they didn’t when I started writing my own songs, and went…hang on a minute…what about Calypso for example? where are the rhymes? answer: there are none 
maybe this is something others already knew or thought, but it was a new discovery for me. but then also, I maybe shouldn’t attempt this, as I am not very talented
