Hi everyone. I have a query regarding the tuner on the app. I understand to press on the relevant string on the app and then play the corresponding string and get it so it’s green etc. What I am confused by is it will say things like E2, A2, D3, E4, etc. what do the numbers refer to?
The number is the octive the note is.
The low E and high e are 2 octaves apart E2 to E4 second octive to fourth octave.

Cheers Stitch. I did wonder if it was something to do with octaves. For standard tuning, what should each string be?
It relative to a piano. You don’t need to worry about it just tune to the app and your guitar will be in tune.
