Just wondering, what was the 3rd and 4th chord played? It looks like you’re fingering a power chord, but it doesn’t sound like one.

I appreciate you stopping by to listen to the songs. Not perfect but a solid effort. I’m warming up to get ready to see Green Day on 9/28. I think that’s a cool story picking up your kids guitar he or she left behind to go to school . I gave my oldest daughter an acoustic when she went to school but she never plays it. So when I visit play that one so it gets some use. My 12 year old daughter plays duets with me some times including linkin park and Green Day. Anyway nice to meet you.

Hi Barney,
That was a b minor that moves to an f# minor. I’m not the greatest at playing those fast so once in a while I’ll switch to an f# power chord for example to avoid losing the melody. Thanks for listening. I’m still a little sloppy on my chords sometimes but keep at it.

Have a great time at GreenDay, I wish we could drive over for that show. GD put on a really good live. Speaking of shows, I am very tempted to Drive over for the Final NOFX show up in Long Beach. The only show we have tickets for currently is Dropkick Murphies and Pennywise. The family is looking forward to that one.

Finding this a bit bizarre Jeff. You have done better and frequently. Stylistically are you searching for something Billy and the boys never sought ?
Song’s kinda of ok but some timing issues but the guitar sounds out of tune in places. Vocals also a bit stuttery timing wise. Upper body shot no guitar ? Well guess that’s why I don’t do TikTok.

I agree with Toby on some timing and tuning problems, but at the same time I can’t pass by without noticing that your strumming on this recording improved by a mile at least. Seems practice is paying its favours

I appreciate you taking the time to listen to my songs and reply. I know you don’t do that very often so truly honored. I hear what you’re saying about the timing after listening again. By trying to mix in multiple strumming patterns the timing got real choppy. That tik tok song really was me screwing around because I thought the laser beam eyes was funny. It was unrehearsed and spontaneous for a few laughs. I was trying to make Green Day with a Johnny cash type sound lol. I have not played that song since January 2023. Hopefully the basket case song was a bit better, because I put some significant practice time on that one. Still needs work as my F#minor especially not the greatest.
Without going too personal 2024 has been a bad year and really struggling to find free time to practice, especially since June. In 2023 I was working about 45 hours a week salary and in 2024 they fired more than half of my team so I do the work of three people. I also took on a second job doing security for local sports events and concerts. 45 hours a week turned into 90-100 per week. Not sure how long these old bones will hold up, but sad to see my guitar time going downhill. It obviously shows in my skills. Hopefully 2025 will be better and I can catch an open mic as a performer again. I really enjoy that.

It was very kind of you to mix something positive with the areas to improve. I appreciate you taking the time to listen. I don’t think many people listen to my music on here anymore. Hopefully it is because we are all busy and distracted and not that I’m really that awful 
. I think Toby once said who knows if people truly listen to music on tik tok or skim through after 15 seconds. Probably true lol.
