@WhiskeyBravo Hi Wayne Hec here I am on Blim1 We still have unit 6 to finish but you should have had an email regarding Blim 2 if not maybe you should ask Fanny for some help Cheers nice to meet you and good luck with Blim 2
The live courses are done in 6 months but you will have life time access to all the lessons and videos.
Every one who enroll will have access to it. The 2nd immersion course is the same course for a new group of students to study together. I’m sure Justin will have tweaked the second course ironing out any glitches in the first course.
It’s actually been worth every penny.
It all depends if you want to be able to keep up and interact with your cohort on the lessons and be able to follow the live classes and Q&A. Otherwise as @stitch says you have the course for life and can go ar your own pace. It’s a pretty packed comprehensive course and will take more than 6 months to get everything taught mastered. So consider it more of a lifetime investment in your musical education.
Agreed - and it’s actually on offer at $499 at the moment I believe.
But offer closes today, so depending on your time zone …
And yes worth the investment !
You can but you’d still have to purchase the course. Yes it would be better if you can keep up with each months Unit of lessons but not mandatory, that is up to you. But it is not a free course like the 95% of Justin’s material.
Toby is right, however I think you’ll miss out on one of the biggest benefits of the way this course is run. Doing it alongside the rest of the cohort provides incentive, discipline and encouragement just when you need it. Personally I think it’s one of the biggest selling points.
In terms of cost, I believe if that is the issue you can contact Justin or Fanny as there is a possibility of scholarships - not sure how many or what the criteria are. Certainly there were a number of scholarships awarded for the first run.
And let’s not forget there is a raffle going with 10 spots up for grabs
As others have said, you have lifetime access to the materials and, to an extent, can do them at your own pace. And, echoing others again, it’s not really possible everything on the course in 6 months anyway.
But a big part of the course is in the name: immersion!
the course is designed to challenge you over the 6 month period but a big part of that is that you immerse yourself in The Blues:
The course designed to be intensive and focused, and a lot of that can only come from the time contraints.
If you want to drift along and look at videos at your leisure, or when you think you have time, you could use the BLIM material for that, but I think that’s missing the point.
I’ve lost count of how many courses I’ve done that with, and ended up half-assing them, or not really even completing them. And some of my BLIM cohort have indicated similar behaviour.
In my view (ignoring the cost issue) BLIM is about committing yourself to learning, and committing yourself to immersing yourself in the material for a short period of time. As @TheMadman_tobyjenner said, a large part of it is the discipline it provides which I really don’t think you can get from not engaging with the course in real time.
If you are unable, or unwilling to do that for whatever reason, then I don’t think BLIM is for you.
Cheers,
Keith
