Blues Immersion FAQs & more

The official Blues Immersion (BLIM) FAQs page is here.

The team have decided to also host it in the Community.
This will give potential Blues Immersion students (BLIMMERS) a chance to discuss further - plus those who have participated in a previous BLIM Class to offer their perspective and support.

Please see this topic as a supplementary. In it you will find some great advice from BLIM Class 1.

From the FAQ:

Is Blues Immersion for beginners?

No. Blues Immersion is suitable for confident, advancing beginners or intermediate guitarists who want to deepen their understanding of Blues guitar. If you’re following the JustinGuitar Grade System, you must have completed Grade 3, the last grade of our Beginner Guitar Course.

What is the recommended Grade for Blues Immersion?

No. Blues Immersion is suitable for confident, advancing beginners or intermediate guitarists who want to deepen their understanding of Blues guitar. If you’re following the JustinGuitar Grade System, you must have completed Grade 3, the last grade of our Beginner Guitar Course.

That being said, students who join the course typically have a range of years of experience. Knowing how to transcribe is not a must, but it will definitely help a lot with the course.

Looks like the best answer to the second question would be in the next question:

Are there any prerequisites for joining Blues Immersion?

Students should have access to an Electric Guitar and a device with an Internet connection. Access to this course will be through JustinGuitar.com, so students must have an account on this website. Access through other apps from Justin, like the Songs & Lessons App, is not available.

Blues Immersion is best for Intermediate guitar players (Grade 4+) or confident Advancing Beginners (Grade 3) who are pursuing Blues Guitar mastery. Knowing how to transcribe is not required, but it’s a major help in getting the most out of the course.
