I have paid for the blues studies and I am working my way through them. I’d like to be able to slow the tempo of the Guitar Pro files but I have to unlock them to do that. Can you send me the password?
Thank you!
Jim

Hi Jim, I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble.
Are you on the Transcribing Blues Solos course?
The downloads for that should be mp3.
If it is the Solo Blues (acoustic) those downloads are MP4 videos.
Hi Jim, I think Justin locks the GP files as they don’t get taken by other guitar courses and reused.
You can still change the tempo with this button though, even with a locked file:
Thanks RIchard,
It is the Solo Blues Guitar course. It has 10 acoustic blues solos that use the traditional blues finger style technique where the thumb plays constant quarter notes. It is at:
The resources are PDF and Guitar Pro files. I was having trouble with the locked Guitar Pro files. The comment from Jkahn addressed the issue.
Thanks again!
Jim
Thanks Jkahn! I missed that feature. I’m set now.

Thank you. messed around for a wile. didn’t find this. It helped me on a different file.
Hi, I have bought GP8 as I thought it would be very useful now that I am at beginner level 3. As pointed out in this thread GP tabs are locked. This is very disappointing as I was hoping to add my own annotations using the Text feature [Note → Text (T)].
Is it possible to add any annotations to locked GP files in another way?
I am struggling to open Justin’s Beginner Blues Solo gp files. I’m using Tux Guitar and MuseScore 4 on Linux Ubuntu 24.04. Both have been updated so age of the app should not be the problem. It’s not the end of the world as I can play along to the video but it would be good to be able to use the gp files. Has anyone had this issue with Linux based applications?
Hi @jazz77, since Justin’s gp files are locked, they can’t be opened in third party software.
Thank you LadyOfTheCastle. That is a shame. However, I understand why that would be the case. My workaround to learn from the videos, which are pretty cool really, will get me through.
