BLVD Of Broken Dreams Cover

Hey guys!! Just wanted to do my own take with this! Anyways hope you like it! I tried to build the instrumentals up and I mixed this myself without Sound Cloud mastering… It didn’t do no good anyways so i guess I did pretty good on the mix!! lol.

Hope you guys enjoy! I put together all the parts I was doing!

Pretty good sound and song arrangement, I really enjoyed listening to your guitars and so good voice. A total vibe, thanks.

Great choice of song! BLVD is one of my favourites

I enjoyed your performance a lot - and the fact that it isn’t just a cover because you’ve added some new ideas and a personal touch.
The mix sounds nice and very interesting.
I especially like the solo :guitar:

Keep up the great work :+1:

Thanks for the comment Gun! Im happy you enjoyed it! Even though its not perfect!!!

Terrific job Byron! You’ve got the production and playing absolutely nailed.

Thanks twistor!!

Sounds great.
I really like parts where you get little bit “too much” and that means for me you really feel that moment. Its great. Thanks for share.

Hey thanks!!! Whatcha mean by too much?

Byron

Very good and very much your own take! There’s something in your mix that makes the it sound like a lost R.E.M. song. Loved it!

Brian

Mixing & mastering are 2 different things.

Mixing involves balancing and blending individual tracks to create a cohesive sound, while mastering is the final stage where the mix is polished and optimized for various playback systems and distribution formats.

The mix:

  1. Acoustic is a little overpowering in the mix
  2. There is the low frequency clipping in this one like all your others, turn down your input on your interface
  3. Electric guitar needs to be more out front
  4. Instruments all need more separation
  5. Drums & keys are so “echo-y”
  6. Too many effects all competing with each other

Mixing is better! Just need to fine tune some things. I wouldn’t worry about mastering at this point. If the mix is terrible there is no point in mastering something.

Thanks again for the advice Aly!! Ill have to try to work on the mixing again!

@Bytron08I told ya I was gonna start holding you to a higher standard!
LOL, Only becasue I know what you are capable of

Great song Byron and enjoyed what you ahve done with it. I liked the video work with the Electric and Acoustic. Sound was good :+1:

 Lol yeah!

Thanks CD02! Alys right I do need to work on this more, the first chorus part in this my phrasing is off! And my mixing I need to fix that!

Oh, Aly’s hard on you!

I really like how you put everything together!
And I wonder - sometimes, you do a terrific job with everything, and also your singing is really good, but at other times, I’m not sure why it is… I heard that you can do all the parts great! …maybe you could spend a little more time with the song? I mean mainly the singing in the chorus - and I think that you’d have even more fans then!

Thanks dom! Lol yeah shes in teacher mode! Anyways thanks for your input i know i messed up in the first chorus on this song but its not to bad! I know i coulda done better on the mix though for sure! Appreciate your help!
