Hey Roger,
Very nice mate; clean and melodic.
Sweet tone on that guitar too.
Cheers, Shane

I shall refrain from any smart alec remarks, as that I really do want to encourage you to share more, my friend
That was a smooth rendition of a blues tune that even I know.
Nice rhythm, tone. Lovely guitar.
If this is what the BLIM course does for you, I’m glad you signed up
Hi Gordon @sairfingers,
Thank you very much and nice to read that apparently more people like the tone and yes that guitar is something different than the black one without a head …
and now that remote comes in handy for me… the best 4 (?) euros spent on all my guitar gear …
And about Blim , saying also to
Brian @brianlarsen ,
Thank you and we will see about that sharing
but I’m curious to what extent Blimm exactly helps me with this because actually what I find on the open site is still by far the most of what I use and since that course I haven’t spent much extra time with blues, the interest, reading about and listening to it was already part of my music life…
But…still very happy that I do the course watching the videos the first time with the guitar in hand is what I like a lot and even if it is more of sponsoring Justin it would be fine
…but sure in the long term, I would also use it as a reference work (the licks and some other stuff) when I have finished learning here with the “small” blues courses that cost a tenner …it is all good
And yes Dave @oldhead49 thank you and it is the first where I also think of John Lee Hooker one
And Jim @HappyCat Thank you very much yes and
It was the hardest part Shane @sclay to keep it clean and not to “dead” I deleted a video and then listened to Justin again (ooo on acoustic) and only then noticed how “dry” he played it…
Thank you all for the kind comment
Loving the bluesiness, Rogier. Looked like you were too. Good job.
That was great, Rogier. Very well played; good timing, clean and lovely tone.
I was thinking the same. Have you placed you order Gordon so you can give that trademark smile, a little wink and press of the button?
Hi John @Willsie
Thank you I really enjoy playing it , I’m even smiling now that I’m tapping it and thinken of playing soon (and even harder because I’m tapping this now and that makes me…okay stop I’m in a loop now )
Thank you James @Socio nice words ,
and now you let me look up where I first mentioned that remote because it was mentioned earlier (found very quickly ) …I grossly exaggerated with those 4 euros (although now with inflation )
In Yesterday -first time that long ago
I practice that again with great regularity and will one day be re-recorded…someday, and not in as extreme a number of attempts as then
Greetings
Very nice work Rogier. Smoothly played, demonstrates the work you have put in.
It sounds lovely, Rogier. It is clean and in time, great performance. That guitar is a beauty, love the cream white colour.
Great rendition, Rogier!
It’s nice to see you on video again!
I couldn’t get to that speed, but I plan to work on it once more some time soon!
All the best and hopefully see you soon somewhere around again,
Dominique
Nicely Played Rogier!!
Enjoyed that; your guitar sounds great too!!
Well done!
J
Very nice Rogier!
You look so relaxed when you play and you really seemed to be in your element here. Your guitar sounds great and I loved the happy smile at the end
Awesome Rogier and very relaxing, melodic and bluesy. That performance would be right at home in one of the many blues bars here in Chicago.
Sounding great Rogier; lovely rhythm … and you are clearly dialled-in for the blues.
Well played …
That did sound great, nice feel, nice picking, good muting on the bass line and a great tone as well. I think you’ve done this before…
Ok! Here it is already! It sounds great Rogier and…
Bravo!!! I relate so much to the feeling of accomplishing a whole thing, and only short ones…when I record the long ones they’re always full of mistakes
This is great to read and heartwarming, being relaxed is not easy for a lot of us me included but we keep on going and develop that…don’t we? I could hear you were at your ease and relaxed
Seasonal Greetings
Hi Phil @philsmith
Thank you for dropping by and comment
Hi Boris @Boris1565
Thank you and like I say some above the clean is good to read it was the hard part …
Although keeping time and occasionally looking into the camera as Mari @Mari63 demands of me/us is actually the most difficult thing because then I would always lose my time…
No joke Mari that I always think of you when I start practicing looking up at the window and looking at the camera for the first time too
and Dominique @domi7 thank you and you was also in my head when starting to get part two of this in my fingers/head because when you post yours I was bussy whith the first part and thinking ‘now I realy have to start with the rest’
I can do it up to Justin’s speed, but then it is even shorter and I have to keep looking at the neck without exeption…
Thank you too Jeremy @jgottwals nice that you are listening and nice comment
Hi Jennifer @Jenndye429 ,
Thank you for your comment very nice and what you see is what i feel
I have been regularly watching old recordings lately and you can sometimes clearly see (and hear) that a lot of hard work is being done.
Greetings and thank to you alll very much…
Just finishing this writing up and come back for the rest because if I get a glitch all this typing will be for nothing…and my computer has had its “moments” in recent months
Aah Rogier. A boom bass to be happy with. Bravo on the fine feeling you bring to that. Smooth and groovy playing.
I like the mood lighting too, and the way the sun is forcing its brightness through the houseplant behind you.
I feel your pain there Rogier.
Hi Eddie @Eddie_09
Thank you and…
ooo thank you ,that would be a dream …even as a visitor I would be in heaven
Or sitting next to you on your veranda in the evening/morning sun
Hi @Elixir1253 ,
Thank you and yes it is what I like the most so play the most
Hi Michael @mikemycroft
Thank you for your nice words and if I remember correctly I practiced with my thumb for about 2 hours + blues …
Hi Silvia , @Silvia80
That I now (already) find you here … what a shame because when I read your comment in your blues thread I made a nice smartass comment in my head about how you were looking out when I started recording my blues thing etc …
Because to be honest, I was also amazed/shocked that it went so quickly (probably a lucky shot, although I know that learning things is going faster and faster, but still)
Thank you for your kind words and it’s nice that it felt relaxed because that’s how it was … Ooo yes, I quite like that season, but we don’t do much about it in the Netherlands … A tradition that originated in Ireland … big made in America … and that’s why most here spit on it I think, but the two of us here actually like it better than Christmas (which also comes from America in this way so some of my fellow countrymen are a bit hypocritical) …my wife suffered for a while when there was snow (phew, that was a while ago) and was doing crafts with a nephew… well, not the nephew who played quickly further away with snow all the time, but she was having fun
Ooo, I’m digressing but I’m going to look for proof that we actually like it
Greetings and thak you very much all
Happy holloween, @Silvia80 and the rest who loves this party …my wife’s craft worked
and for the people who really want to be shocked, I “made” this…old photo from the archive
Greetings
Hi Richard @Richard_close2u
Thank you very much
and nice that you notice it, really a huge difference without the lights (also in the hall), the first shot was rudely disturbed by the beeping dishwasher, there were no lights and no trace of the sun… really boring image…
My eyes even become slightly moist from laughing …
Thank you
