Finally managed to get a decent take of Boom Bass with Licks from Grade 4.
The “red light fever” thing is no joke. It took me longer to get a decent take after I hit record, than it did to learn the song in the first place!
I get the benefits of recording yourself for self-evaluation, and so on, but playing for a recording and playing casually is like night and day. So much frustration!
That was great, Andrey. Your perseverance paid off. The notes and feel were good.
As for recording, I guess it is like every element of becoming a guitar playing musician ie can be frustrating at first. And when you become more comfortable eventually the frustrations are forgotten.
Hi Andrey,
Nice
That sounded good and is a great basis to build on…yes recording is a thing, the camera is merciless and exposes everything
Maybe play a little slower to get a bit more “groove” feeling? sometimes it just feels a bit “rushed” to me… maybe I should say "then it will be a bit more laid back"no idea how long you practice this or play guitar ( memory fails me ) so ignore me if it is short than I only cheer
Anyway, it was a good performance…for me the real good feeling that it is really finished usually comes weeks to months after the video has been posted from me…
