[Repeated text from June]
So this is my “before” video, this was a second take. I wanted to simulate just taking a guitar and jamming, but the first take was just awful. This one is not that much better, but I hope my “after” video in 6 months will be much better.
Anyway, I don’t know any Blues licks. I did go through 5 essential ones before, but started practicing solos and never memorized those. This “improvisation” is a bit of “Let it be” solo, some slide transitions and bends, and one bluesy melody I learned online some time ago. I play few odd notes in between to connect those…
My “after” video is recorded this morning within the only 20 minutes of sun we had today.
This is take two as well. The first 12 bars are kind of pre-arranged, I had in mind what to play and tried it before. The second and third 12 bars are completely improvised. I had no idea what I will play, this is what came out.
I am happy with the progress.
I look forward to consolidating and expanding my knowledge.
Thank you Stuart! If you are just starting with improvisation, just stay committed. It will come in time, at least that basic level that most of us play.
Nice work Boris, definite big improvements there! If you don’t mind me saying, I think I preferred the improvised stuff to the first pre-arranged chorus.
Huh, I see and hear things twice … Oooo, this is what @Richard_close2u meant by posting in both … because the Blim people can see here, I thought that the people who post in the large community would not post in the closed Blim… … it takes a while but then the penny finally drops for the Dutch
That actually make sense. I think double posts are for those who still didn’t discover wider community, they can still see posts in BLIM space.
Thank you Rogier!
