Calm (Progresive Instrumental)

Hi everyone,

I’d like to share an original instrumental progressive piece titled “Calm.”

It’s a simple progressive instrumental composition where the melody moves slowly, focusing on calm and acceptance. Intentionally repeated motifs are used to create space and a sense of tranquility.

The piece is guitar-driven, focusing on dynamics, chord movement, and section changes, without vocals.

What do you guys think?
I’d really appreciate feedback on:

  • rhythm guitar feel
  • transitions between sections
  • overall flow and cohesion

Thanks in advance for any thoughts!

I thought it was cool metal action. I liked you used a looper with layers. Pretty sick.

Wow, that’s a great composition Mas. About your requested feedback, I couldn’t detect obvious changes between the sections, so I would describe it as “seamless”, which I’m sure is what you wanted. I loved the arrangement, the rhythm gtr, bass and drums sounded great.

One thing though - the recording sounded as if it was clipping in some places, maybe you could dial back the level a bit before upload to youtube?

@twistor59 Thank you for your input. I will make improvements accordingly.

Well done, Mas. It’s not my genre of choice, so I can’t offer substantial feedback. But your tune has - at least for my ears - something laid back and calm vibes and still being a rocker. I enjoyed the listen.

I’d echo the observation regards clipping mentioned by Phil, but that’s all there is. Keep on keeping on.

Is this AI?

So,.do you or don’t you speak English?
