Cover of a nice little tune by Camel. Paul Harvey (@mathsjunky) did a great job on the acoustic guitar parts.
Haven’t heard anything from Camel for yonks, this brings back some great memories of their iconic sounds and compositions.
Really enjoyed listening to this, very well done IMO, as good as the original!
Beautiful arrangement, sheer joy to listen to. I’ve got the album and always loved it. Camel is a great prog rock band, and their leader, Andrew Latimer is a fantastic musician.
Congrats on completing the task so skillfully and musically pleasing.
Been having the same discussion with the BBP posse as they started to pull this together. Long lost day of the 70s, @twistor59 @mathsjunky great collab guys.
Well done guys, great collaboration.
One of my favourite tracks. Beautiful
Absolutely insane guys. I don’t know this song at all but what a beautiful track. Keyboards and Acoustic kicked it off just beautifully. Great work on the video side and a great sound too
@DarrellW @Coda @TheMadman_tobyjenner @Boris1565 @Floydianpsyche @CD02 Thanks very much for the listen folks!
This is the first time I’ve collaborated with anybody - it does open up a whole new dimension to making music.
I’m always open to collaborating if anyone wants to - happy to try to contribute any parts which are within my ability range.
I can highly recommend collaborating with Phil, apart from being an all round top bloke he transcribed all of this, played keyboards, electric guitar, drums and anything else you hear. He mixed it, edited the video and published it. I did a little plinky plinky on an acoustic guitar and he gives me equal billing
Phil, if you ever take this up professionally, you’re going to need a better lawyer.
The money’s in your bank account now…
Truly impressive in all aspects. I like that you included both of you in the video. Very nice!
amazing
the sheer thrill of listening to a ( very ) good prog rock track !
that solo … stunning !
I listened to it twice
Wow! I don’t know the song, but that was truly great! Light years beyond my capability, but something to aspire to.
