Capo? Why & purpose in Grade 1, Mod2, Lesson 8

In Grade 1/Mod 2/ Lesson 8, Justin talks about using a Capo when only having chords A,D,E. In what context does he mean you would want a Capo?

I’ve never used one and do understand how it covers the strings but I’m not sure of what the purpose would be that he talks about in this lesson.
