The app is struggling to recognize certain chords, notably Am and D. When doing one-minute changes, I have to strum those chords repeatedly for sometimes several seconds before the app recognizes them, while I barely have to place my fingers on the strings for other (e.g., E/Em). This makes successfully completing one-minute changes next to impossible.
I will tag Musopia for support, Brooke. I suggest has some further details as to the device you are using and the operating system
I’m using an iPhone 15 currently running iOS 18.3.2
Hi Brooke and nice to meet you in the community I have had this problem before and I am sure it has been posted in the community if you search it might bring it up cheers HEC
Hi Brooke,
I’ve found that on 1minute chord changes, I just turn chord detection off and count the changes myself.
As a reward for doing it myself I consider it yet another “thread” my brain must pay attention to, and so it makes my practicing more fruitful.
Cheers,
Bruce
Hi Everyone,
We are actively looking into improving the chord detection in the app and we hope that we can release an improved version of this soon ![]()
Has this been improved?
Using iPad Air 5th Gen and it’s not a great experience.
@MusopiaApps
We are still looking into the improvement for this, we apologise for any inconvenience in the meantime but rest assured updates will be coming to aid this ![]()
Thanks
Chord detection is not working at all for me. It worked the last time I used it a couple or few months ago. This was a favorite feature of mine. What is the problem? Just fix it, please. This is very frustrating.
Chord detection is not working for me either… Though the tuner works and the Chrod Perfect Lessons… please fix it… The content of the app is amazing!
same here. but even the tuner struggles to pick up last string now on electric guitar.
We have reproduced the One Minute Chord audio detection issue. The fix will be included in the next version. Please stay tuned for the update! Thank you all for understanding while we worked on this.
I purchased the app a few days ago and yes the chord detection doesn’t work. So, will i be able to access the updated version, with the improvements on the matter, when it gets released?
I have been having this same issue for weeks now and this practice feature is one of the reasons i choose the app over the website. Downloaded the latest update, reinstalled but nothing works, both on ipad and iphone which worked perfectly fine in the beginning.
Same issue. It’s still not working. Please fix it soon - would rather it was technically less accurate and worked than stopped everyone’s progress.
I’m sorry that you are having on-going issues.
Please remember to tag @MusopiaApps if you are adding a new report in a new topic or an old topic. Thanks. ![]()
Morning, don’t know if this helps but chord detection works fine on my iPhone 14 which is quite old but consistently fails on my newer iPad Air (M2).
