Hi, I’m Chris from the UK. I bought a cheap electric guitar a year ago and tried to learn by watching YouTube videos. I got frustrated, put the guitar in the loft where it stayed for about 6 months. At Christmas, I thought I would give it another go. I started following Justins Beginner course and made some progress. About a month ago, I upgraded my guitar and now I practice every day. I have stopped trying to learn too quickly, and am sticking to the courses. So far, things are going well. I forgot to mention, I’m 55 and never played before. I hope I haven’t left it too late.
Hi Chris, never too late.
That’s the secret, just take your time and enjoy the process…
Hey Chris welcome to the community! As Dave’s said it’s never too late and there are plenty of us in similar positions to you who’ve broken on through using Justin’s method.
Have a ton of fun and good luck!
Thanks Dave
Welcome Chris. You are never too old to rock and roll. Enjoy the ride.
Thanks Mark. I’ve only just discovered the community section of Justins Website. It’s good to know there are other older newbies out there.

Hey Chris
Welcome to the community. You’ve definitely not started too late. I started when I was about your age and now, some 13 years later I’ve played over 100 open mics and music is now a big part of my lifestyle. The rewards are just fabulous. Hang in there, and you’ll be amazed at what you can do in only a relatively short time.
