is there a way to clear all notifications on my side bar?
The only way I can see ( just done it on mobile ) is to expand the notifications then it allows to select a filter. Select unread only and that should sort the problem.
There should be an option to Dismiss at the bottom of the list - on browser at least. Not sure about phone.

You can dismiss but all it does leave them unmarked. They are still on the list. In fact I’ve just tried and even though I’ve applied the unread filter it doesn’t carry across to the view of notifications under your avatar…. At least on a phone
I’m easily pleases as that works for me
