If you get to this lesson and haven’t learned enough theory to know about “relative keys,” you might be a bit confused when Justin says we can play the major G scale over this song. It took me while to recall the reason you can use the Em pentatonic OR the G major scale even though the song is in the key of Em. It’s because these 2 scales contain the same notes! Every major scale has a reIative minor scale and vice versa. I don’t want to get into theory too much here, so I’ll just leave it at that. It’s just a handy bit of informtion for this song!
