When Ozzy released Dreamer 20 odd years ago i know there were mixed reactions among his fans but I’m a sucker for a rock ballad so couldn’t help loving it. I hadn’t honestly thought of the song for like 15 years until i came across Justin’s lesson at the weekend (thank you Justin) and thought I’d give it a go. I changed Justin’s version by adding some finger picking at the start just to might mix it up a bit and i think it works ok. If your’ wondering why I’m standing its because i read that it helps your singing, so hey ho, I’m willing to try anything!! Happy to hear any and all suggestions for improvement - I’m not easily offended.

Great cover Jon. Didn’t know this one 'til Justin’s lesson. Really liked the finger picking/strumming combination.

Oh that’s a great performance Jon @Jonjdarcy ! Love how it’s built up from just a picked melody over fingerpicking and then into strumming. Great job standing up - it makes all the difference!
Just one small comment from me on the position of your microphone - you are bending your head and shoulders down when you are singing, which undermines the benefit you get from playing standing up - position the microphone so you can sing into it with a straight back and shoulders.
@CD02 @Prof_Thunder @JohnnyW - thanks everyone for the kind comments - there’s a nice solo that goes with the song which (at first look) seems quite straightforward, but probably a bit beyond me just at the minute.

Wow. What can I say Jon? - Stunning throughout. Immaculate even. I’ve seen some fantastic performances from you but, for me, this is at another level. Very well done.

@GraemeCaUK - ahhh thanks so much for the very kind comments - such a cool song - and I’m sure Ozzy was tipping his hat to Lennon all the way through it with the chords, rhythm and lyrics- I certainly was.
I missed this completely Jon. Well done, very enjoyable. You looked very comfortable going from fingerstyle into strumming, and singing at the same time. Not easy at all.
