That was really really good Phil. Just a wonderful performance.
Hey Phil,
First thing I did after listening to this was to go back to the start for another treat.
Terrific playing mate, even moreso considering you combined the 3 elements of the original/Mayer/improv.
The rhythm, tone, articulation, clarity, fluidity; all just so tight.
Two things that really stood out for me though, apart from the great peformance?

Just how relaxed you looked Phil; in your picking hand, your fretting hand, your overall posture. Very impressive man, and shows youâve got a fair whack of mastery over what youâre doing. As you know , this is not an easy song rhythmically, in parts, and you nailed it, as if you were casually sketching a drawing on your back verandah.

The economy of movement in your picking hand. From what I can see, youâre not wasting a single millimeter on unnecessary movement. And at 100+ bpm 16th notes flyin around the fretboard, your great accuracy and synchronisation just shines through here in spades.
Youâve taken it up a notch here my friend.
Cheers, Shane
@MikeSebastianP @Avalon426 @Eddie_09 @sclay Thanks for the listens folks!
@Avalon426 @sclay Sloppy playing from 2:42 onwards that makes me wince I knew I was doing it, but since Iâve been working on this for 3 months since the start of BLIM, I thought Iâd publish it anyway and do something else for a change.
That was just terrific, Phil!
Iâm dizzy watching your fingers fly over the fretboard! A pleasure to watch an listen to!
Thanks @Lisa_S !
I just recorded another bluesy shuffle that I transcribed from a youtube video. Did it as an exercise in playing fastish shuffle licks
That was sounding quite nice for an exercise. Getting knots in my fingers just watching!
Sunday roast Phil, very tasty !
Lovely stuff Phil. Looking forward to you transcribing and playing duel of the fates
With no mush peas
Hi Phil. Listened to both videos. All I can say is that is some really DYN-O-MITE playing and sounds youâve got going on. I really liked watching your fret work and, like Sclay said, your economy of movement. Very well done and a really fun listen/watch.
Phil
Very, very well played. Kept me listening. Superb!
