Dashboard Song Book struggles with multiple lists

I never noticed the ‘Song Book’ feature in my dashboard until now. I just gave it a try and it seems to work fine as long as you stick to the three default lists. You can add additional lists but the page doesn’t really seem to be built to handle this. It is unable to display more than three lists at the same time and what is worse, regardless of how many lists you have, there is no horizontal scroll bar. So as you add list #4 the focus changes to that list and you can add or rearrange songs. But now you find that you can’t go back to list #1 any more.

So you exit the songbook and go back again or you reload the page. Now you have regained access to lists 1, 2 and 3 but your new list is out of reach. This gets worse the more lists you create.

I could not believe that I’m the first one who wanted to have more than three lists in this songbook so I tested this on current versions Chrome, Edge and Firefox - same behaviour everywhere.

Edit: after fumbling around with this for about an hour I accidentally found out that I am able to navigate to the ‘unreachable’ lists using the arrow keys. Unfortunately this doesn’t work right after you open the page. You have to click somewhere below the list headings first.

I suggest adding a horizontal scroll bar below and/or arrow tabs on the side of the page. That would make for a far more intuitive way to navigate it.
Working with multiple lists is also made difficult by the fact that there is no way to rearrange the list order so you are stuck with the order you first created the lists with. If you want to add a related list next to one that already exists there is no way to achieve that.

I have not run into this problem. I want to see if I could reproduce this with my set up.

I use android, so it is different and but I do have 5 lists. Ultimately I was able to scroll over just using swipe motion gesture. I can see how this would be a big issue.

On Macbook, simply sliding left or right over the trackpad lets you scroll through your different song lists. But rearranging the order of the song lists indeed doesn’t seem possible.

So I have to clarify: I use a keyboard and a mouse on a Windows computer. No swiping, no trackpad.

Hi @jowidi - thanks for sharing this feedback. I understand the songbook can be tricky to navigate on some devices. If you don’t mind submitting your feedback in our Feedback Hub so the team can see it. This way, you’ll also get notified if your suggestion is acted on too.
