Hey Thro’, thanks for the good feedback.
I ended up taking it to a luthier who works primarily on cellos, violins, etc (beyond $10K and over 300 years old). They fixed the flying bridge out to starboard, evened up a few high frets–and lowered the action. Which for a beginner like me works easier. And it’s good to know that I ought be graduating to a higher action as I get my rhythm guitar chops down. THey took off the flat wound strings and put on more appropriate to my skill level.
Not much pickup swing in the area, but lots of open mics and sign alongs.
I’m looking forward to developing a skill level where I’m comfortably uncomfortable to back up others…
Thanks the for input.
Cheers,
Bruce
