Very kind David. I’ll keep tweeking
Thank you Silvia. I think songs need to breath as we do ourselves sometimes
I really like this version. It shows that you do not always need to keep close to the original to have an impact like this one has.
Why is this track unlisted? I went to subscribe to your channel so that your music will show up on my Youtube feed as soon as you post something new. Kinda tells you what I think of this track.
Really good playing and singing this song sounds really good.
I loved this. I’m a big Dire Straits fan. Beautiful playing and singing.
I’m not familiar with the original, but this was a joy to listen to. Now I’ll have to go and check it out!
Beautiful. Wonderful guitar playing, singing, and sound quality! You made it your own - a real accomplishment I think.
Hi Dom,
Love this song.
I seem to remember it being in a tv show about the Falkland’s War I think. Could be my imagination.
Great performance. Your vocal adds even more melancholy and weariness, which I really like.
Just shows what a guitar, voice, and excellent use of space/quiet, without much else can produce.
Loved it.

Thanks so much Digger
Big thanks Mike
Just wonderful, the arrangement, the guitar, and the singing.
Beautiful job on this, Dom. Inspiring how you made it your own. It’s such a touching song and a new one to me. I really enjoyed it.
Dom, This is a really sweet take on this song, playing and vocal. I thoroughly enjoyed your performance. I can picture you performing this in a pub or coffee shop and you’d be able to hear a pin drop.
Wow that was super nice. You put that together in less than a day, without looking up a lesson or a tab? Damn dude.
Wow,! Absolutely love the authenticity and feeling you put into that. It was extra special for me since I’ve been learning the song. I initially approached it the way you did, but have been working in the lead parts, partly because it’s developmental, but also because I assumed that the mystery and emotion of the song relied on the tension between the reserved vocals and more emotive solo parts. But you really captured it, evidenced by my mist covered eyes!
Thanks Dave
Thank you Pamela
Thanks Brendan. Following instructions only leads to disappointment for me haha.
I prefer to paddle my own canoe if possible
Thanks a lot Bruce. Very excited to watch your progress. I have been trying the lead parts myself since recording this and trying to merge with a strum combo for life performances. It’s an incredible piece of music. I may have been chopping onions while singing.
