Drowning In Berlin - cover for Hallowe'en

Happy Hallowe’en All.

Just a little cover we did of an 80s classic ( well it is for me - good chance no-one else has ever heard it. lol. Please do check out the original.)
Bit of an odd little song - but I always loved it.
Not guitar heavy by any stretch - just our seasonal greeting.

Wishing you a happy Samhain filled with good health and happiness.

really enjoyable

A very good listen

Ha Diggs,
I saw the time length and thought, wow - you cracked the under 4 minute mark. Then I realized it was a cover… LOL

Great stuff and production. I rocks really well. I like the kick and Katja. All of it is great, but those seemed to poke through to me.

Keep up the vibe!

Thanks a lot - this sounded great!
I was young, living in Berlin and listening to pop music at the time and I don’t remember having heard it before. Probably it was much more famous in the UK.
I also would like to cover a few of the 80s songs I have a special relation to. Uhm, one day…

Great cover guys! I remember it well, although I must admit I wouldn’t have been able to name the band in a pub quiz. Anyway, from now on it’s “Comfortably Strange”

Very tasty synth lines!

Hi All,

Thanks for checking out.
@domi7 it’s one of very few songs Katja has sung a few lines in her native German

@LBro I keep trying for under 4, but it never pans out. Skip the intros and outros and we’re about there. Going to make it my mission to do a Roger Bannister though!

All the best,

Digger

Hum,
That is a good analogy on the 4 minute mile mate.

Take a look at your verse and chorus structure. They are probably much longer than 16 bars? But to me, that is the first place one could trim as there is a lot of area to do so. You two are cranking out great stuff, so keep up the roll. Hey, even Stairway to Heaven was what, 6 plus minutes? Now if you crank out a hit like that, who cares how long it is? :slightly_smiling_face:

Be well,
LBro
