Yeah, it’s been a while and no one really noticed my absence. I get it, time rushes on with or without us. Even though there hasn’t been much (or any) clamor for my musical offerings, no requests in my inbox for more music, I know what I do is of limited interest. Still I pop up here and there like some kind of relentless weed in the garden to either interest you or force you to uproot or burn it with the harshest of means.
The black jumbo guitar has been sitting there gathering dust in open E tuning since Something in the air. While we are at it, I guess the revolution isn’t here after all. LOL
At any rate time rushes on:
Hey Clint, some folk notice and it’s all cool that people take a breather from community life, then come back with a refreshing little ditty. Ah - open tuning delight. Why not?
Hi Clint, believe it or not, I did notice your absence, like noticed the disappearence of a few other active members within the last months. Nice to see you back here, I always enjoyed your playing and this shared video is no exception. I like it a lot!
Hehe, I just caught this on the tubes and enquired if it was altered tuning.
I must be making slow progress!
Always good to see the cowboys drift back into town.
Nothing wrong with changing habits to suit lifestyles. There’ll always be a soft spot in my heart for the rock steady crew who got me hooked and on the path to hell…
Thanks gang! I appreciate the listen, kind words and well wishes!
That poor guitar had been sitting there in open E tuning gathering dust and neglect. First step was to post this video and then do some cleanup and a string change. Catch you all later!
I wouldn’t be too sure of that. There have been a few posts on advising on amp purchases recently. I was expecting you to chime in with your cool little 5W tube amp + pedals setup. I like hearing you play that rig. Good to see you back.
Hey Clint,
I hope your tending of the garden is more consistent than your stops in these parts mate. You and many other old timers are indeed missed. Most have moved on and don’t come back. That being the norm, it is easy to see why it seems you’re not missed when absent.
I liked the play and the open tuning was great, as was your guitar tone. Nice job and though short, it seemed long enough to get the job done.
