Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town (Pearl Jam)

I continue to try to improve my singing… I’ve also learned to record vis OBS

And now as I type, I see there are similar topics, meaning others have recorded this tune! I’m now looking forward to seeing other’s covers of this song.

Wow nice work. You did a great job at it. You kept your rythem really well and we all know singing and playing is tough. Well done.

I just love the Cadd9 G/B in this song so good in the flow. It was one of my first “OMG” song because it makes use of our “stuck on” chords. Its a great song for working on solid strumming pattern and great for vocals. Its really a great builder song from such an Iconic band, with the small embelishments that sound really cool.

This is a fantastic song. Its great to hear some PJ love in the community. I really love Stone Gossards playing, Pearl Jam has always been part of my life’s sound track and this is one of my favorites. It is also one of my campfire song. I actually have not looked at it in a long time, I am thinking it needs a healthy revisit to work on that cool walk up from the G/B to Cadd9.

You have inspired me to revisit it, I should probobly hit up a number of my campfire songs.

Thank you for sharing.

Cheers for listening @Ontime - much appreciated! I plan on trying to learn more PJ stuff - despite being a very successful band, I still think they are under rated.

Lol the first time I saw them live, they were opeing for Red Hot Chili Peppers and Nirvana. My buddys girlfriend asked “who is this Pearl Jam band?” She figured it out very soon. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes::laughing:
