Embedding Google Drive Spreadsheet into post

Just a thought for you @LievenDV - could we perhaps enable to embedding google spread sheets shared on google drive into posts? Original idea comes from Toby’s spreadsheet he is planning to run for OM X, this would enable him to put a spreadsheet on Drive and do putting up all the info together once rather than duplicating and doing it also on the forum post. Just a thought, looks like Discourse might need a plugin for that? I am no expert on this stuff so just trying to be helpful

Ah something interesting to check out indeed. I’ll mark this and get back to it when I return home

In the meantime I have a workaround using the Discourse “column” control character in XL and copying everything over as a job lot. Its not as elegant as I would like. So need to see how to manage the column width better but it means I can populate the CFI from Xl in some form or another, even if I have to tidy up what has been copied across on the forum. Win win in the meantime.

Happy Hols Lieven !

Brilliant !! It actually works with no control characters, as long as I do not have borders around the “table” in xl. Its clever enough to embed them automatically/ That’s uber cool and maybe all we need !! :+1: :sunglasses:

This is what I copied across to create the table below !

Great stuff Tobe that looks great! Well done :grinning: now only upside of using Gdrive is the fact you don’t need to copy over stuff from spreadsheet to here, so hopefully that would mean even more simplicity :grinning:
