I am Fabrizio, I played guitar one year in high school, dropped out because of lessons cost, started again in Aug’24 thanks to Justin and its amazing course. And here’s my learning log, that I would like to use as a diary of my progress!
This is the song I am currently learning in my lessons with Dave Bernie (thanks Dave!!!). Still sloppy, but much better than when I started 3 weeks ago The tone is very minimal: a bit of reverb and vibrato in my amplifier (Fender Vibro Champ Rever Amp Reissue, 5W valve) and using one of my favorite overdrives, JHS Morning Glory V4.
Any comments to improve are welcome. I gotta smooth the transitions and improve my timing for sure
Well done Fabrizio, that’s not an easy song to play, I have had a go at it in the past, some syncopation and odd timing in places, not you the song I mean. Nice guitar tone too.
Ciao Fabrizio, welcome into the world of Learning Logs! Well done on overcoming some shyness and post and well done on the recording! I’m not able to offer feedback on how to improve it, as I don’t play the electric guitar, to my ears it sounds quite good already and needs just some refinement here and there, and since you brought it to this level I’m sure you can hear better than I can the parts that require some additional work. But overall as a listener I caught the song going, not the innacuracies. Bravo!

Ciao Silvia! Thanks for the suggestion I will probably post in the other channel when I feel the song to be ready to be listened to. I will be using the learning log more like a journal of my learning path, ‘cause it is fun to share and to look back at how I improve overtime. A fun way to trick my brain into practicing
Bravo Fabrizio! That’s impressive progress in a relatively short time, this is a tricky song with lots of chord movements and jumping around on the fretboard! Well done! Congratulations on the LL too.
Hey Fabrizio, so glad you posted. No reason to be shy. This was really good. I could sense your tension, but that actually is understandable since this is not an easy song. One of my favorite RHCP songs actually, so well done! I appreciate your tone commentary as well. Keep posting!
