we’ve got a summer free concert series on the square downtown (we have a big open air stage there exactly for such things) called “Shindig on the Green” with exactly this kind of music and dancing. lots of “family bands” play and there are ALWAYS kids in there. I love that the musical culture here runs that deep

Very cool. I’ve had the great fortune to be a part of a local old timey band called Fiddle Faddle and have posted videos of our performances on my youtube channel and here previously. A very good and close friend, Leoni, helps run the band. She does some awesome flat footing.
